Overview
DDune Ridge Country House is situated on a 4500ha coastal nature reserve between the friendly villages of St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape. With seven well appointed units; 6 sleeping 2 people in each and one Family unit catering for families of 4 there is no limit to what we can do or offer. All our rooms are fitted with TV's, mini bars, beautiful dark wood furnishings, mosquito nets, large bathrooms with underfloor heating making the rooms lovely and toasty on those chilly evenings and wifi throughout the main areas. We take great pride in our service and attention to detail and this shines through from the evening meals that are served to the breakfast or functions that are hosted at our establishment as well as the small touches in the rooms in the evenings All our staff are locals from the near by area of Sea Vista and have been trained in all areas of the guest house as we believe in empowering them with more than just one skill. We take on a holistic approach with our staff and the environment and practice Fair Trade principles where possible and have erected various gardens on the property to grow vegetables and herbs for the kitchen at the guest house as well as for the staff to take home. We also have our own chickens that roam freely and produce eggs for the guesthouse. All waste is separated and kitchen material is used in our vermicomposters and the rest is separated to be recycled Dune Ridge offers beautiful relaxation treatments in our Bush Spa which is surrounded by coastal fynbos and draws inspiration from the surrounds to give our guests the ultimate experience. Evening excursions in the name of frog conservation depart from the guesthouse daily in the Summer months. Donned with headlamps, gumboots and nets guests embark on a guided tour to the frog hotspots with our frog enthusiast Henry (our Head Gardener) to catch, identify and release these little creatures. He also takes daily walks into the dune system on the property where he explains the various vegetation as well as Strandloper middens that date back more than 10 000 years. We all, the WHOLE team at Dune Ridge take great pride in what we do and love where we are and that is what sets us apart from the rest. Our guests are greeted with friendly smiles and depart with fond memories
