BBlue Roan Country Lodge is a 4 Star grading self-catering venue which is ideally situated for international visitors coming to the Cradle of Humankind who want to explore the area and visit the famous Maropeng Visitors’ centre and Sterkfontein Caves as we are only an hour’s drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. It is also very conveniently situated for domestic visitors who want a breakaway from the city without having to undertake a long drive. Blue Roan offers 7 brick self-catering units which are individually fenced with private gardens and which offer very comfortable and romantic accommodation for couples and their pets. The units have Jacuzzi baths, large walk in showers, private patios with built-in braais, decorative lighting, king size beds, fully equipped kitchens, log fireplaces and so much more. Homely touches like playing cards, dvds, books and candles are welcome additions. The cosy and well-equipped units have big glass sliding doors which open up to a panoramic view of the the Magaliesberg mountain range and rolling hills. We are on a tar road just 5 minutes from the quaint village of Magaliesburg which offers a range of spar treatment centres, hotels, restaurants and supermarkets. The units themselves are totally unique as they have been decorated with themes such as Mexican, Tuscan, Greek and the Barn. Guests come back time and again to experience the different styles or else to revisit their favourite themed cottage which opens onto a lovely grassy park full of pine trees and hammocks strung between them. Beautiful horses roam freely around the fields surrounding the cottages and there is a peaceful and tranquil country feel and a homely atmosphere.
