South Africa welcomes Hyatt House

WWell-known hotel chain Hyatt has recently opened two Hyatt House Hotels in the leafy northern suburbs of Johannesburg. The Hyatt House Sandton is the first Hyatt House hotel in Africa. The hotel was opened in November 2021 and the hotel opening signals Hyatt’s expansion strategy in opening hotels in various markets globally.

Hyatt House Sandton is a residential-hotel concept where an apartment-like environment is created for guests to live like residents during their stay, together with all the bells & whistles that guests would experience at any Hyatt Hotel around the world. This concept is ideal for guests who wish to continue their everyday routines while travelling, as guests’ lifestyles aren’t significantly disrupted with this “feel-at-home” environment.

HHyatt House Sandton consists of 62 guestrooms across three room categories - studios, two- and three-bedroom apartments which are fully equipped with kitchens, living & working spaces, laundry facilities, a fitness center and an outdoor pool. The hotel also features a restaurant, bar and 24-hour deli-style market. The hotel is nestled in the heart of Sandton, within easy reach of some of Johannesburg’s best restaurants, bars and shopping areas.

TThe Hyatt House Rosebank was opened in February 2022. The area of Rosebank in Johannesburg has long been known as one of Johannesburg’s most cosmopolitan areas. The room categories at Hyatt House Rosebank is similar to its Sandton counterpart. The hotel also has a pool deck and similarly features a gym, bar, restaurant 24-hour deli-style market.
