CCape Town’s Winchester Mansions has long been a staple and favourite among locals and international visitors alike. The hotel has always enjoyed the perfect location on Cape Town’s Beach Road along the Atlantic Seaboard, with sprawling views across the ocean. The hotel has however recently had an extensive facelift and has rebranded into a boutique hotel called The Winchester.

TThe Winchester has kept its classic Cape Dutch architecture which is reminiscent of a bygone era. The interior now enjoys a much more modern look and feel, while still staying true to the hotel’s impressive history.

The rooms have been classically decorated in neutral colours with splashes of bright colours which add modern character to guests’ rooms. The hotel has eight room categories which vary in size and style. All guests also have access to the hotel’s swimming pool.

TThe Winchester’s restaurant, Shoreditch House, offers a variety of sharing plates and few carefully selected main courses. All meals are freshly prepared using the best locally sourced ingredients. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant or in the courtyard. Harvey’s Bar, renowned for being one of the best sundowner spots in Cape Town, still remains the best place to enjoy a few South African sundowners and bar snacks with incredible views across the Atlantic. The hotel has also confirmed that its famous Sunday jazz brunch will be returning, albeit with an adapted and modern format.
