Overview
The Audit and Risk Committee is established as a statutory committee in respect of its statutory duties in terms of sections 76 (4)(d) and 77 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 and a committee of the Board in respect of all other duties assigned to it by the Board. It assists the Board in the fulfilment their statutory and fiduciary duties, as well as to advise them about discharging their duties with regard to the operation of adequate systems and financial controls, corporate accountability, and the associated risks in terms of management assurance and financial reporting.
