TThe Exhibitions industry builds the platforms on which business is done, and in 2022 it seems that we are finally on the road to recovery, building businesses and connecting people from all over the world.

Global Exhibitions Day, GED,2022 falls on 1st June, and the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, UFI, encourages the Exhibitions industry worldwide to acknowledge and celebrate the undeniable value of exhibitions in accelerating the pace of economic recovery by creating platforms for networking, business exchange and in-person connection.

This year, AAXO has joined forces with SA Convention Bureau and Specialised Exhibitions to deliver a demonstrative and informative networking event for the local exhibition stakeholders and relevant media to celebrate the 7th iteration of Global Exhibitions Day in South Africa.

The timing coincides perfectly with a collection of noteworthy exhibitions hosted at Gallagher Convention Centre this week. AAXO has collaborated with organiser members, Specialised Exhibitions to provide GED attendees with guided VIP Tours to experience the power of live demonstrations in person.

The five expos being hosted by Specialised Exhibitions on Gallagher are FrigAir (Heating, Energy, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), Securex (future-proofing the physical and cybersecurity needs of businesses), A-Osh (health and safety sector), Facilities Management (FM and the built environment) and Fire Expo (fire and related industries. This is an ideal opportunity to highlight the benefits of face-to-face engagement across different sectors in an immersive context.

Ahead of the VIP tours, AAXO GED2022 attendees can look forward to an engaging and informative morning. The event will open with the presentation of the SA Tourism Manifesto and a live stream connection with IMEX in Frankfurt.

Projeni Pather, AAXO Board Director and Spokesperson, will facilitate the programme ensuring guests gain key insights from Exhibition Organisers as they navigate Meeting Stakeholder Expectations within a New Economy. For the first time, stakeholders will hear from a panel of Exhibitors who will shed light on why Face-to-face Seals the Deal before closing the event with the long-awaited opportunity to network with colleagues over lunch.

Speakers include industry professionals like:

Ms Charlene Hefer - Portfolio Director, Specialised Exhibitions

Mr Sean Osterloh - Head of Digital, DMG Events

Mr Warren Murray - Brand Director, Exposure Marketing

Ms Zinhle Nzama  - General Manager  Strategic Events, South African Tourism,

Mr Neo Sehume - Director: News, Gauteng Provincial Government

Ms Colleen Glaeser - Managing Director, AxxonSoft

Mr Dalain Roets | Owner | Karongwe Furniture
