Overview
TThe Ash River just outside Clarens is a rafting hotspot. The Ash River is fed by the Katse Dam, which sits high in the Maluti Mountains of Lesotho and ensures pretty significant water levels all-year round. The river has both Grade Three and Grade Four rapids with names such Car Wash, Fish Pond and Big Surprise. Before delegates get a chance to experience the thrill of river rafting, a safety-brief is given by instructors before heading out onto the rapid waters. Ash River is an 18km stretch and it will take approximately a day to tackle the rapids. Be assured that you’re experiencing the best in river rafting at one of South Africa’s top white-water adventure sites.
