LLocated on Cape Town’s beautiful northern foreshore, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) offers world-class facilities in one of the most breathtaking settings in South Africa with Table Mountain as its backdrop. 

Its innovative design, meticulous attention to detail, impressive services, 5-star accommodation facilities and dedicated staff enables the CTICC to consistently deliver unforgettable experiences. 

The CTICC can cater for up to 10 000 delegates theatre-style in its exhibition centre. 

Among its many facilities are two auditoriums with superb acoustics, top-of-the-range technology and ergonomically designed seats with writing tablets. These are ideal venues for large formal gatherings, lectures, awards evenings and even theatre productions. 

The auditoriums have seating capacities for 1 500 and 620 guests, respectively, complete with stages and screens, 6 translation booths and a projection room. 

There is 11 399m² of dedicated, column-free exhibition and trade show space. The exhibition halls are sub divisible and can be configured into separate venues for smaller exhibitions, banquets or conferences, with access to power, water and data connections. 

TThe grand ballroom offers majestic views over the city to Table Mountain. Its 2 000m² of space has capacity for 1 300 banquet style or 1 020 buffet style. 

The roof terrace room also offers an open, flexible space. 

Meeting rooms of varying sizes, each accommodating up to 300 delegates, can be set up to suit a variety of functions or presentations. 

Thirteen distinguished meeting suites, varying in size, overlook the exhibition halls and are equipped to comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests each. 

A diverse number of equally stylish conservatories and landings complement any event. Two multi-functional dining areas, the strelitzia and jasminum, are both accessible from the different venues and exhibition halls. 

The registration foyer has been designed to facilitate efficient registration of delegates. 

The CTICC boasts one of the most advanced kitchen facilities in the Western Cape with internationally-trained personnel serving up thousands of high-quality meals daily. 

State-of-the-art audio visual equipment together with a solid sound and information technology infrastructure means the CTICC can offer packages of fully integrated technology solutions. 

The CTICC’s commitment to becoming a leading environmentally sustainable convention centre has seen it take environmental responsibility in all facets of its operations and it has introduced innovative sustainable strategies to achieve its green goals.

How to get here  

The convention centre, located on Cape Town's foreshore is easily accessible from Cape Town International Airport via taxi, shuttle services, coach transfers and rented car.  

Best time to visit  

Year-round. 

Around the area  

You can explore the V & A Waterfront, the fascinating Bo Kaap area, famous Long Street with its vibrant nightlife, as well as the wonderful historical and heritage sites, museums and art galleries in and around Cape Town's city centre. 

Take a walking tour of Cape Town or explore the city's many attractions on City Sightseeing's hop on hop off bus tours. A day-trip to or overnight stay in the Cape winelands, a tour of Robben Island, and a visit to Cape Point should definitely be on your to-do list. 

What to pack  

Clothing for a variety of weather conditions as Cape Town’s weather is notoriously unpredictable. You can often see all four seasons in just one day. Make sure you have a comfortable pair of walking shoes, especially if you plan on taking a walking tour of Cape Town during your visit.

There are numerous hotels, guest houses and B&Bs in close proximity to the convention centre, and something to suit all tastes and budgets.

There’s a coffee shop at the CTICC, Coffee on the Square, which offers light meals and refreshments.
