Western Cape

TThe Knysna Heads is one of the most scenic natural locations in South Africa. Yacht charters around the Knysna Lagoon and through the Knysna Heads into the Indian Ocean offer explorers an opportunity to complete their experience of this Western Cape wonder in sheer style.

Yacht charters through the Knysna Heads have thrilled explorers from around the world for generations. The picturesque surroundings have been the subject of countless photographs, and the memories of the experience the subject of many discussions.

The peaceful waters of the Knysna Lagoon, as well as the lush green surrounds, create a unique feeling of serenity. The Knysna Heads tower majestically on the horizon, while a variety of birds soar gracefully above.

Some of the world’s most beautiful sunsets can be experienced while sailing on Knysna Lagoon, as the rays of light pierce the Heads and shimmer brilliantly on the surface of the water, while the reflection of other boats adds variety to the scenic composition.

Springtide Charters is 1 tour operator to consider for yacht charters through the Knysna Heads. Their 50ft yacht, The Outeniqua, offers 3 double cabins, one of which is en-suite. The vessel was built by Stephan Pepler, who is also the owner and skipper.

Stephan’s wife, Evelyn, who helps run the company, says she is very lucky to be in such a rewarding line of work. “Our crew is very passionate about sailing and very knowledgeable about the area, which is why our clients always come away smiling, knowing they have had a great, authentic sailing experience.”

Springtide Charters offer various packages, depending on whether you would prefer a dinner, breakfast or overnight cruise.

Couples can even tie the knot on board The Outeniqua, which is big enough for 12 people, and they will even arrange someone to officiate and a wedding photographer.

Knysna Charters, another tour operator in Knysna, offers sunset cruises, as well as packages for corporate functions, private parties and team-building expeditions.

Whether you are planning a corporate retreat or a romantic getaway, a yacht charter on Knysna Lagoon and an exciting sail through the Heads is a fail-safe option.
