BBesides its beauty, the Garden Route offers some of the best adventure activities in the country. Here are some of our top picks:

Zip line at Tsitsikamma
Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours transports travellers into a new world as they glide from one platform to the next along the Tsitsikamma Forest. Adventurists get to see the beauty of the forest from 30m above, and if lucky, may just spot the elusive Narina Trogon bird.

Did You Know?
OOne of the most popular activities is their Hedge Maze, the largest permanent Hedge Maze in the southern hemisphere.

TThe three-hour adventure starts with a brief introduction at the main office. Teams of five are then transported to the forest to start their adventure. Throughout the trip, the guides provide insightful information about the forest and the Tsitsikamma area.

BBloukrans Bungee

Those travellers who are daring and risk takers try the world’s highest bungee bridge, situated at Bloukrans River Bridge. This once-in-a-lifetime adrenaline high is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Eastern Cape and with good reason.

Bloukrans Bungee uses pendulum bungee technology to ensure the smoothest, most comfortable bungee jump possible. Jumpers are secured in a full-body harness, combined with an ankle connection. Despite the 200m drop, adrenaline junkies will have stunning views of the Bloukrans River Valley.
