TThe Legend Golf & Safari Resort is situated in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the attractive Waterberg region of Limpopo province. The resort is renowned for its superb (and unique) golf course, as well as the phenomenal wildlife that roams across 22 000ha of bushveld landscape.
The topography of the area surrounding Legend Golf & Safari Resort is spectacular, with majestic mountains creating an idyllic backdrop to the bushveld plains that are home to the Big 5.
The resort has world-class facilities, including a wellness centre and a sports centre. The signature course, which was designed by 18 of the world’s great golfers (each designed a hole), including Padraig Harrington, Trevor Immelman, Retief Goosen, Sergio Garcia and Gary Player, is the pièce de résistance.
IIts outstanding feature is its 'Extreme 19th', the longest par 3 in the world. Its tee, set on the Hangklip Mountain, is about 400m above the green and is accessible only by helicopter. Golfers play to the Africa-shaped green hundreds of metres below. Needless to say, the views are spectacular and the hole is perfect for those who want to get some practice in high-altitude golfing.
There is also a golf academy and a driving range.
TThis resort is unique in terms of design and architecture. Curved lines at the entrance represent the ancient African kingdom of Monomotapa, and the entire complex was designed for minimum impact on the environment. Rooms and suites are decorated with an African theme and offer every luxury.
Legend Golf & Safari Resort is also known for its excellent cuisine – and eating under the stars is a delight for visitors.
Highly trained rangers take guests out on game drives across the conservancy; the area is known for the Big 5, so wildlife sightings are generally eventful. The birdlife in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy is also superb.
An authentic African safari that includes one of the world’s finest golf courses is a formidable combination indeed.

There are excellent golf courses in Limpopo province.
The wildlife and game drives are always a highlight of any trip to Legend Golf & Safari Resort.
A helicopter flip to the 19th hole and beyond is a must.
Apart from playing golf, there are lots of activities available, including game drives, helicopter flips, an archery field, tennis courts and an activity programme for children.
