IIf you are one of those travellers who want to get in their step count and see the sights of a particular place, then a walking tour is just what you need. Some tours showcase the city’s culture and history, while some delve into its food culture. Here are five walking tours in South Africa:

Beset Durban: Beset Durban is a monthly walk that takes place at some of the most iconic spots in the city. Jonas Barausse, Mark Bellingan, Cameron Finnie and Dane Forman started the walks to get more locals to explore their city. The walk has become one of the most popular monthly weekend activities in Durban for the past five years. The walk is free and takes place every four to six weeks.

TThe word ‘safari’ means ‘journey’.

BBarausse says they do not repeat a walk. Interested parties will have to subscribe to their newsletter or follow them on Instagram to find out about the date of the next walk. It is only revealed 48 hours before the walk.

Among the foodie experiences is an indigenous tea tasting with rusks and wine tasting.
