Overview

PPerfectly situated midway between Port Elizabeth and East London and halfway between Durban and Cape Town, Mansfield Reserve and Lodge lies nestled amongst 1000 acres of lush undulating grassland and thornveld plateaus.
Vegetation is typical Eastern Cape sweetveld and bush with the landscape and kloofs providing ideal habitat for rare cycads, sneezewoods, yellowoods, Cape milkwoods, white ironwoods, pearthorn and knobthorns to name but a few.
This combination of sweet grassland, thornveld and densely wooded valleys make this Reserve unique and an ideal Game Reserve.
This biosphere is perfect for both browsers and grazers, which allows varied stocking capacity and variety of game.
Port Alfred has for years been the holiday choice for generations of families which have enjoyed the peaceful safe environment and pristine beaches and surf.
The lodge is only a short drive (or by boat a little longer) from the beach and river mouth (which has Indian Ocean access).
