Eshowe is close to battlefields, beaches, and Big Five game reserves and is the ideal base to discover the Zululand Birding Route, the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Saint Lucia, the Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve and historic Anglo-Zulu war sites such as Rorke’s Drift.
Your hosts, Nick and Silvia Phillips, work with the Rotary Club of Eshowe and the Norwegian NGO, www.zulufadder.org, helping orphans and vulnerable children in the nearby rural areas of Zululand. Guests can choose to visit the project and interact with the children and their families.
