JJust an hour’s drive from Cape Town, Fynbos Estate is a unique and special place and has been called 'a hidden gem’ and 'a corner of paradise’. Set in a kloof of the Paardeberg, Fynbos Estate has come to be a favourite amongst local and overseas guests with a love of nature and countryside, comfortable yet simple accommodation, and fine quality food and wine.

An old farmhouse and cottages nestled amongst vineyards, olive groves and mountains, make Fynbos Estate ideal for getaways, workshops, retreats and conferences. Lovely gardens, a pavilion and a simple chapel, create a magical setting for weddings, parties, and other functions.

Natural beauty and outstanding cuisine combine to make Fynbos an ideal venue for all kinds of gatherings and celebrations, as well as workshops and retreats. Fynbos caters for up to 20 people in the farmhouse and up to 90 in the Pavilion.

We use our own vegetables, seasonal fruits, fresh fish and free-range birds, as well as farm sourced meats.

The small winery runs on organic principles, the olive, honey and lemon products are also all organic.

As beautiful as the farm and buildings are, the 300 hectares of mountain fynbos offers spectacular views, great walks and bike rides and indigenous flora and fauna. There are also various projects to join if you would like to get out of the city  - from wine making to path forging. The mountain is just about to be declared a  nature reserve as part of the Cape Stewardship programme.

Child and pet friendly.
