Overview
TThe award-winning Eendracht consists of a 13-room, owner-run village hotel with the ambiance of a Stellenbosch house. All bathrooms have been recently refurbished. Three fully serviced semi self-catering units feature in a 1928 listed house fully restored to its original Art Deco style. Both the hotel and the self-catering houses are in the historic centre of Stellenbosch. They are within easywalking distance of all the main attractions, more than 60 restaurants, antiquesshops, museums, art galleries and the University and its sports grounds. Theyare central to the Stellenbosch Wine Route, and close to more than 10 golfcourses. At its first assessment, Eendracht achieved a four-star rating from GreenStaySA, reflecting the fact that the owners have managed Eendracht since its founding in an eco-friendly way. Relax in our award winning service and explore Stellenbosch and the Western Cape. At 161 Dorp Street stands the interesting and atmospheric building of the Eendracht Hotel. The site of this double-storey building, and the parking area behind, is on the original part of the island on which Simon van der Stel camped during his first exploration of the valley of the Eerste River. The island has long since vanished but the river flows merrily seawards past the east side of the parking ground. Accompany us through the streets of Stellenbosch where one becomes part of the history. Experience the Stellenbosch sentiment, for this is not a town, but a feeling, an unforgettable ambience. The warm, tangible atmosphere as well as good eating and friendship make Eendracht a very unique and special place to visit.
