Overview

TThe original building dates back to 1946, and was owned by Prof. Gerrit Kruger, a lecturer in Theology at Stellenbosch University. In 2007 it was purchased by the current owners to convert into what is now Albarosa Guesthouse. The house was home to a vast collection of books, which inspired the names of the various rooms. The self-catering flat, Stories Cottage, was built during these alterations.

This restored Cape-Dutch building offers several elegantly furnished and air-conditioned rooms. Relax in the lounge with its cosy fireplace and large range of interesting books, or outside on the patio. A healthy and hearty breakfast is served in the garden or in the dining room and on those hot summer days, guests can cool off in our brand new swimming pool.

Choose to stay in one of our Luxury Double Rooms with Double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower or in one of our Luxury Twin Rooms with Twin beds and en-suite bathroom with shower. We also have a Standard Room with 2 adjacent Twin beds and full, private, but separate bathroom as well as a self-catering cottage with one bedroom with Double bed, living area with Double fold-out couch, kitchenette and full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
