Honeymoon

MMpumalanga is a province of picture-perfect vistas and rich history – the ideal escape for a newlywed couple craving something other than a same-old resort honeymoon.

MMake the Blyde River Canyon, one of the world’s largest canyons, the site of your first loved-up selfie. Stop and take in God’s Window, an astounding viewpoint at an altitude of 2000m. On a clear day, you’ll be able to see all the way to the Kruger National Park.

VVisit the small museum-town of Pilgrim's Rest. If you’re looking for old-school charm and romance, the Royal Hotel is popular for weddings and honeymoons. There are also lots of beautiful hikes to enjoy in the area.

If you’re in need of more exciting photo opportunities, don’t miss out on the Kruger National Park. Rise before the sun and strike out to spot some of South Africa’s most majestic creatures. The park also offers a number of special honeymoon packages, with luxurious accommodation, meals and guided safari outings included.

If a peaceful mountainous retreat sounds ideal, head for the tranquil village of Dullstroom. The area is famous for fly-fishing and its culinary scene. Post wedding-madness, take time out to hike, read and relax in this beautiful part of South Africa.

Whatever you choose to do, Mpumalanga is a honeymoon destination you’ll remember forever.
