TThe Dolphin Trail is unique as it fetes the hiker to the unrivaled beauty of the magnificent Tsitsikamma Coast, winding its way eastwards through natural fynbos and pristine indigenous forests, over rugged rocks at the water’s edge, with mystical caves and beckoning pools, to end on the banks of the Sanddrif River. En route many extraordinary birds, including the majestic Knysna Loerie, can be heard (and seen) and the endangered Oystercatcher is often sighted frolicking on the shoreline. The beauty of this natural environment is unsurpassed as hikers ascend to lookout points with stunning views of the coastline below, promises of whale and dolphin spotting … even the occasional otter. Here, Nature abounds in her splendour.
