SSudwala Lodge is situated in the picturesque Province of Mpumalanga – nestled at the foot of the Mankelekele Mountain and alongside the Houtbosloop River. This stunning setting provides for a sensory explosion with the sight and sound of the River's rippling currents and the magnificent view of the Mountain. Sudwala Lodge offers a unique and tranquil retreat for the whole family to enjoy. We offer three star self-catering accommodation, with Harvey tiled, chalets ranging from six-sleepers to two-sleeper units. The accommodation is located at the foot of the Mountain with the River on the opposite side. Our famous Le Fera Restaurant serves mouth-watering food and welcomes guests with a weekly boma braai, where tables are set up underneath a massive Pecan Nut Tree. Guests get to enjoy perfectly braaied meat, “braai broodjes” and other delicious sides, around a crackling bonfire and against the beautiful natural backdrop that Sudwala is famous for. The ultimate way to experience the scenic beauty of the Resort is a guided walk up the Mankelekele Mountain. Just imagine the stunning views from the top – the rolling Mpumalanga hills, deep gorges, lush vegetation, various birds and creatures, as well as a magnificent array of butterfly species – all in front of and around you.
