TThe Dyer Island Eco-system that we operate in provides guests the opportunity to spot the Marine Big 5 (whales, sharks, seals, dolphins and penguins). Every year from June to December, the Southern right whales arrive to mate and calve. We may also see whales, dolphins, a variety of seabirds and guarantee a sighting of our Cape fur seal colony on Geyser Rock. Our on board marine biologist will educate guests on the amazing animals that visit our shores. Upon arrival in Gansbaai, guests enjoy coffee/tea and muffins while listening to a dedicated safety briefing. Before boarding the boat guests get fitted with inflatable life-jackets and wet-weather gear. Time spent on sea in average is 2 hours depending on sea conditions and marine life activity. Upon return to land, guests receive a de-brief, while enjoying warm soup and bread. Professional trip footage can be purchase after the trip. A free visit to our African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary is also included.
