Overview
- The Loft, a three star TCGSA rated self catering facilities with a bed and breakfast option, ideally suited to families or friends of up to six people travelling together in the Eastern Cape. This historic building, once an old church, is full of character with its loft conversion and double volume living area. Entrance to this property is through large gates with paved driveway with ample secure parking. Artificer’s Square, the intersection of Cross and Bartholomew street is the old artisan quarter of 1820 Grahamstown. Many restored original houses, now National Monuments, reflect a number of 1820 Settler architectural styles. Wagon stones and cobbled gutters still exist. Bartholomew's accommodation is within walking distance from Grahamstown's city centre, it is 1km from the Cathedral in High Street and 1.5km from the Drosdy Arch which is the entrance to Rhodes University.
