Hunters Rest Hotel

Hunters Rest is a picturesque country resort beautifully situated in the Magaliesburg Mountains just 1.5 hour from Johannesburg or Pretoria. It is reputed for it's fine table, good service and excellent recreational facilities. There are 91 well-appointed bedrooms set in lush subtropical gardens. All have private bathroom, telephone, radio, DSTV, air conditioning, coffee making etc. Recreational facilities include a 3 par 18 hole golf course, putt putt, a bowling green, 4 tennis courts, volley ball, a squash court, a beautiful swimming pool and heated kiddies pool. There's a gymnasium, saunas and steam rooms and game center for all ages. There are hiking trails up the mountain to the old Anglo Boer war forts, as well as an admirable bird life for nature lovers. We opened the wellness center in September 2011 which offers face and body treatments with the very best of local products called Africology. Hunters Rest Hotel also offers 4 conference rooms, which can seat up to 300 in the largest and a board room for small meetings. Weddings, corporate golf days are all catered for.
