Step-Aside George Conference Centre

Step - Aside George Conference Centre and backpackers is ideally situated at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains on a 45 ha farm just a mere 2 km out of George. We are 2 star graded from TGCSA. There is backpacker’s accommodation for 60 GUESTS in bunk beds in rooms ranging from 2 bunks to 10 bunks. Church, sport and big family groups are always welcome. We can cater for you or you can rent our kitchen and dining facilities. The self catering family chalet hosts 6 GUESTS in three room with two single beds each, two separate showers and toilets, a kitchen / dining room as well as a lounge with 32 inch LCD TV and selected TV programs. Our upmarket self catering room 11 is for two GUESTS in either two single or one king size bed (please let us know your preference with your booking) with separate shower and toilet, 26 inch LCD TV and selected DSTV There are braai facilities for the dorms as well as for the family chalet and room 11. The conference centre can host up to 150 delegates cinema style in Brother Orlandi room and about 35 in Brother Halbe room. There is a church on our premises as well as an amphitheatre - both ideal for weddings, but we also do courses, TEAM building, half and full day conferences - from self catering to 5 star service - all available!
