SUPERB WATERFRONT ACCOMMODATION BEAUTIFUL VIEWS A stunning waterfront property located at Sedgefield on Sea, Knysna’s most extensive unspoilt beach, this is a magical holiday destination for families or couples. Overhanging the water's edge on the Sedgefield estuary, and 200m from the beach, we can accommodate 8 guests in 4 lovely double rooms, all with water views, self catering, or room only bed and breakfast on request. With a breathtaking outlook across the Swartvlei Estuary, this property has one of the most superb positions on the Garden Route. Lazing on the generous deck, you can enjoy the view of the clear waters below, the fish swimming, the boats floating by and the Sedgefield hills in the distance. There is a private path down to the water, and we include the use of a canoe and rowing dinghy for full enjoyment of the water. The lagoon offers wonderfully safe swimming for all ages. The beach walks are fantastic and the fishing is very good. Awake to birdsong, and fall asleep to the plopping of fish below. We are centrally located for all activities along the Garden Route, and we have the top farmer’s fresh produce market in the country and a good quality craft market in Sedgefield every Saturday. One queen and one twin bed lagoon waterfront room share a full bathroom. The twin bed garden room and west room have ample en suite showers, basins and toilets and river views. All twin rooms can also be arranged as king doubles on request. Bedding is fine quality percale linen and down duvets. The fully equipped open plan kitchen with dishwasher is seamlessly integrated with a spacious living, dining and TV area (DSTV) and lovely viewing and sun decks with a Weber braai. The house is serviced twice a week, and supplementary cleaning services and laundry facilities are available by arrangement. Wireless internet and Sauna are available as extras on request. There is covered parking for one car and extra parking space available. SEDGEFIELD ON SEA If it’s outdoors, it’s out there! Sedgefield on Sea is an unhurried seaside village on the N2 national highway halfway between George and Knysna and ideally located to access George airport and all Garden Route destinations. The village nestles between the lakes, mountains and vast stretches of unspoilt, undeveloped beaches of the Wilderness National Park and the Goukamma Nature Reserve. Far from the seasonal crowds, its peace and beauty make it the perfect getaway for families, and a well located refuge for tourists. It has all the amenities with a friendly village feel, a selection of restaurants and the renowned Wild Oats Saturday farmers’ market and Scarab Craft Market. Sedgefield lies at the centre of the Garden Route lakes district at the estuary of the major Swartvlei Lake, a mecca for fishermen and water sport enthusiasts. Surrounding indigenous woodland offers magnificent walking, hiking, and mountain biking. The bird list is impressive, and hang gliders float like butterflies from the hill tops. A short course provides for the golfers and abseiling, scuba diving, and surfing can be enjoyed close by. Nearby Buffalo Bay is the safest beach in the southern Cape, and smaller children can enjoy the tranquil waters of the Sedgefield lagoon, while parents relax close by on the beach. It is a paradise for all.
