Yellowwood Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Yellowwood Cottage is a Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering establishment off the main street of the small picturesque village of Himeville. It is just five kilometres from the town of Underberg on the Sani Pass road in the Southern Drakensberg of kwaZulu Natal. We have four comfortable rooms each with their own bathroom and tea/ coffee making facilities. Each has its own entrance off a communal living area, which includes a cozy fireplace. DSTV is available in the central lounge and is communally available to the rooms. Yellowwood Cottage is situated in a large peaceful garden that has a beautiful view of Hodgson’s Peaks. Yellowwood Cottage offers a full English or Continental Breakfast, which can be served indoors or outdoors. Lunch and dinner requirements for the Bed and Breakfast guests are catered for on request and frozen, home-made meals are available for the self catering guests. Braaing facilities and picnic hampers are also available. Just over 2 hours from Durban and 5 hours from Johannesburg on tarred roads, Yellowood Cottage is the perfect place to getaway. Whether you come in the winter months with the chance of snow or the warm summer months there is plenty on offer to keep you busy. ACTIVITIES FOR YOU TO ENJOY: - 4x4 trips up the beautiful Sani Pass (passports needed); - Hiking in the mountains - uKhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site; - Visiting San rock art sites; - Bird watching - rare cranes and Bearded Vultures can be found close by; - Trout fishing; - Mountain biking, quad biking, tubing and river rafting, gliding, abseiling and paragliding and horse riding; - Golf, tennis and bowls.
