Outdoor Arena

The Outdoor Arena comprises the De Rust Lodge, a self-catering guest lodge, and a quaint fishing village with log cabins built on stilts. Relax in our beautiful garden with waterfalls, dams and abundant bird life. We boast a lovely on-site restaurant seating 100 guests that will cater to all your gastronomic needs. The extensive menu has it all, whether you're looking for a light meal or a full supper. The restaurant features a fully licensed bar with a comfortable lounge, outside seating area, and a wooden deck with gorgeous views of Bonnievale. Enjoy our own Kap ‘n Raps Golf, played on a nine-hole, par 3 course. This is a great way to improve your short game. A large variety of fish species are kept in our ponds. These include large mouth bass, small mouth bass, carp, barbel, blue kurper, blue gill, wit vis, tench and grass carp. At Outdoor Arena we breed sterile grass carp which is used for aquatic weed control. Our fish are distributed throughout the country and have been introduced to countless golf courses, parks, farms and reservoirs. We offer guided tours of our hatchery; it is a very interesting experience. *
