Breedekloof Wine And Tourism

Situated less than one hour drive from Cape Town along the N1, the Breedekloof is the gateway to the Breede Valley region and is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Characterised by majestic mountains, sparkling rivers and hospitable people who are passionate about winemaking and the valley they live in. There is so much more to the Breedekloof than superb wineries, as the beautiful environment is home to a wide range of outdoor activities including access to some of South Africa’s best trout fishing spots along the Molenaars, Elandsjacht and Smalblaar rivers. There are also a number of scenic cycling routes and mountain biking trails. The craggy mountain ranges, fynbos and endemic bird life attract plenty of hikers and bird-watchers while horse-riding through the vineyards is a treat for young and old. Or canoe on the Breede river, picnic at the wineries, or visit our farm stalls and craft shop.
