Old Mill Lodge

We are a 3 star, 16-bed B&B recently upgraded to a Guest House by the Star Grading Council of SA. We are situated at the very far end of this idyllic village, right at the Very Top of Mill Street, just below the Village Lei-water dam. Named for an old mill nearby, the Lodge is a haven of stillness and tranquillity, a place where guests can truly relax. Beautiful gardens, abundant birdlife and breathtaking mountain views are all encompassing. Only 2 hours drive from Cape Town, we are the perfect escape for folk who need a few days to “recharge their batteries”. Our 8 en-suite rooms are housed in four cottages styled after the slave cottages of old. Each is thatched, giving a wonderful coolness in summer and a re-assuring cosiness in winter. Each cottage offers one double room, and one with twin beds. Six of the rooms have crafted brass showers and baths, whilst the remaining two have deep Victorian-style baths. All have splendid hand-made ceramic basins set in antique stands. We have a sparkling swimming pool where visitors can cool off on a hot summer’s day.
