Top South African hotels recognised for excellent service
We are delighted with this acknowledgement and would like to again thank the readers of Travel + Leisure for their continued support of our superb hotel. – Horst Frehse, general manager of The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa
The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town was recently voted the number one City Hotel for ‘World’s Best Service’ in the ‘Top Hotels: Africa and the Middle East’ category in the June 2013 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine.
Each year, Travel + Leisure, one of the top travel magazines in the United States, recognises hotels, lodges, airlines and cruise liners that excel in the service arena – as rated by readers in their ‘World’s Best Awards Survey’.
The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is perfectly situated along the Atlantic seaboard with views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range and the ocean, and the establishment continues to receive accolades and awards from near and far for good service and five-star hospitality.
General manager of The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, Horst Frehse, says of the award: ‘We are delighted with this acknowledgement and would like to again thank the readers of Travel + Leisure for their continued support of our superb hotel. We are extremely proud of our service and the Red Carnation Hotel Collection’s commitment to the philosophy, "No request is too large, no detail too small." We’d also like to extend hearty congratulations and heartfelt thanks to our fantastic hotel team for its dedication to our guests and its commitment to excellence.’
Earlier this year, The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa was also included on the ‘500 World’s Best Hotels’ list for Travel + Leisure, as well as being included on the Conde Nast Traveler (US) Gold List: South Africa – Best Hotels & Resorts (2013).
Other South African establishments recognised by Travel + Leisure readers in the ‘World’s Best Service Awards’ included the Cape Grace, The One&Only Cape Town and Saxon Boutique Hotel, Villas & Spa (Johannesburg) – all hotels featured well in the City Hotels category.
In the Resorts and Lodges category for Africa and the Middle East, Singita Kruger National Park and Singita Sabi Sand were recognised.
