In the recent Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards, the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa was voted the Top Hotel Spa in Africa and the Middle East.

The superb location of the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa. The superb location of the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.

It’s a wonderful reward after a major investment, not only in terms of the renovations that now provide excellent surroundings to our guests, but also in terms of selecting and training the therapists that provide professional services that contribute even more to the unique location of the Twelve Apostles - Horst Frehse, General Manager, Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.

South Africa's spa industry has grown in leaps and bounds over the past decade, with many local spas winning international awards for excellence.

The recent Travel & Leisure World's Best Awards has singled out Cape Town's Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa as the Top Hotel Spa in Africa and the Middle East.

Situated along the Atlantic seaboard with incredible views of the ocean, the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa had a major facelift in 2011 and the effort has paid off.

'It's a wonderful reward after a major investment, not only in terms of the renovations that now provide excellent surroundings to our guests, but also in terms of selecting and training the therapists that provide professional services that contribute even more to the unique location of the Twelve Apostles,' commented Horst Frehse, General Manager of the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.

The Spa at the Twelve Apostles offers world-class facilities, including 2 outdoor gazebos where guests can drink in the spectacular view while enjoying a massage. There are also several treatment rooms as well as a Rasul Chamber, Tranquillity Lounge and Vichy Shower.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, which is part of the family-owned Red Carnation Hotel Collection, was also awarded 3rd place on the list of Top City Hotels in Africa and the Middle East, and made it on to the list of Top 100 Hotels in the World. Other Cape Town properties on the Top 100 list are the Cape Grace and the Mount Nelson Hotel. Cape Town made it to 4th position in the Best Cities in the World poll.

Winners will be honoured at an awards ceremony in New York on 19 July 2012, with the final results to be published in the August issue of Travel & Leisure Magazine.
