The South African National Convention Bureau (SANCB)
will, for the first time, host Meetings Africa. The SANCB has introduced a
number of changes to the Meetings Africa format to ensure greater opportunities
for delegates to do business.
This year, the popular Meetings Africa educational seminars will be held on one
dedicated Seminar Day (18 February 2013) – before the start of the trade
exhibition – to give exhibitors the opportunity to attend. SAACI (Southern
Africa Association for the Conference Industry) and the Event Greening Forum
are among those who will participate in Seminar Day.
Meetings Africa Association Day will also take place on 18 February. It is
designed to build the national and pan-African association communities and promote
their engagement with international associations.
Two full trade exhibition days will be held on 19 and 20
February, giving buyers and exhibitors ample time to attend scheduled meetings.
Delegates are encouraged to use the highly effective online Meetings Africa
Business MatchmakingTM system to pre-schedule their Meetings
Africa appointments to get the most out of the show.
The Meetings Africa Golf Day, taking place at Randpark Golf Course on 21
February, provides corporate executives, hosted buyers and exhibitors with
further opportunities to network in a more relaxed environment.
Over 50 African association buyers, 200 international hosted buyers and 200 local corporate and government buyers are expected to attend the event.
