Umhlali Country Club’s world-class 18-hole golf course forms part of an upmarket golf estate located on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.

Designed by respected golf-course designer Peter Matkovich, the Umhlali golf course is a parkland facility featuring palm-fringed fairways and holes with challenging water features. Thanks to its natural setting, the course boasts a variety of birdlife, small buck and indigenous and exotic flora.

Before teeing off, you can hone your driving skills by taking a bucket of balls to the on-site driving range.

Tees are set to test the mettle of serious golfers, while front markers cater for the fairer sex and those working off double-digit handicaps. This is a long course if you’re playing the full 18, so head to the well-equipped Pro Shop if you feel the need to hire a cart. And there's no danger of getting lost as carts are equipped with GPS!

On a hot summer’s day it’s helpful to know there’s a swimming pool adjacent to the clubhouse where you’re welcome to cool off. Just next door you’ll find cold beer and other welcome refreshments. A main bar and ladies’ bar are available for use by members and their guests.

The entire club underwent a comprehensive upgrade of its sports facilities, which included an upgrade of the golf course.
