A spa that uses products Mother Nature would herself

Vygenhoek Organic Spa

Vygenhoek Organic Spa Vygenhoek Organic Spa - a tribute to all things natural

Vygenhoek Organic Spa is one of the first ‘green spas’ in the country and great pride is taken in using only natural products in the wide range of beauty and wellness treatments on offer.

Did you know?

The village of Dullstroom was originally called 'Dull's-stroom' (Dull's stream), when it was originally proclaimed a town by Paul Kruger in 1892.

The Vygenhoek Organic Spa is situated in Dullstroom, a dorp known more for its fly-fishing dams and restaurants than for its health and beauty offerings.

But things are about to change... Vygenhoek sets itself apart from the competition as the owners have really taken the concept of being fully 'organic' to heart. The spa was conceptualised around 'holistic wellness' and there is a range of treatments on offer that steer away from the synthetic and embrace the natural.

This Dullstroom spa, is known for its very simple, yet focused philosophy, and while the words 'organic' are bandied about with wild abandon these days, at Vygenhoek you can be guaranteed that only the best natural products are used in treatments. Therapies include hydrotherapies utilising the healing power of water.

The balneotherapy is a popular treatment in which mineralised thermal waters help to restore and rejuvenate. There are a number of seaweed and algae wraps available as well as herbal rubs and body polishing treatments using sugar and organic Arabica coffee beans.

At this spa in Dullstroom you'll also find a variety of massages including shiatsu, Swedish and a unique bamboo massage, which uses various bamboo sticks to assist in drainage and relaxation.

In terms of beauty treatments there are a few good skin treatments available including the Vygenhoek warm honey express facial. On the more spiritual side of things reiki and reflexology are also on the menu and there's a meditation garden with beautiful views, if you need further inspiration. A fun aspect to this spa is there are also treatments available for children between the ages of 3 and 12.
