A virgin bush experience at Ulusaba

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, Mpumalanga

Did you know?

Most of Ulusaba's staff hail from the surrounding villages.

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve combines two luxury safari camps with exciting and relaxing activities in the middle of Sabi Sand game reserve, famous for its abundance of wildlife.

The lodges and the reserve are owned by Sir Richard Branson as part of his Virgin Limited Edition luxury property portfolio. Situated in Mpumalanga, Ulusaba Game Reserve borders the world famous Kruger National Park and is close to the spectacular Blyde River Canyon.

Expect fabulous drives through the African bush to see lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes and other animals in their natural environment. On return, your personal spa treatment awaits you at the Aroma Boma beauty treatment centre. For the energetic there is a tennis court, sparkling pool and fully equipped gym.

In the evening the Ulusaba Game Reserve in South Africa serves a dinner that will be as memorable as the rest of your trip. And off course people are invited to hop on the safari vehicle for a night drive to see big cats in action and to spot more elusive nocturnal creatures like the aardvark and hyena. Visitors can then participate in a walking safari in the morning.

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve oozes exclusivity and has only 19 rooms and suites spread over two lodges. Rock Lodge is positioned high on the summit of a hill and offers stunning views over the bush below. Safari Lodge is built along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed. Guests will be able to reach their suites over some spectacular cross-swing bridges.

The exclusive Tree House Suites gives guests even more privacy and are situated at some distance from the main lodges. The suite overlooks the Xikwenga Dam where hippos wallow and elephants come to bathe.
