Sun City is one of the world's largest resort, entertainment and gaming complexes.
The Sun City Casino lies an hour or so drive by car from the city of Johannesburg in the North West province and is a huge complex featuring many diverse activities and attractions and several hotels.
The central area of the Sun City Hotel and Casino is a jungle of lush foliage, cascading water and life-like boulders encircling fast moving slot machines. The view from the hotel is a landscape of subtropical gardens and swimming pools.
The main hotel has a total of 340 rooms, which either face the Gary Player Golf Course or pool area, with gardens stretching down to Sun City's exciting Valley of the Waves with its slides, games and wave generator.
For nighttime entertainment, there is the casino in Sun City, the Sun City Theatre and the hotel has restaurants to suit all tastes. For example, there are two Asian restaurants as well as a traditional South African restaurant, a steakhouse and an Italian trattoria, along with plenty of others, including fast foods and convenience outlets.
The Casino itself has 38 gaming tables - including Blackjack, Rais'em Poker, Easy Poker, Stud Poker, Blackjack Switch, Blackjack Perfect Pairs, Diamond Rush, American Roulette, Punto Banco & Midi Punto Banco.
The International Room, which is located in the smoking casino in the Sun City Hotel, caters for the higher limits and is on an invite-only basis. In addition there are two separate slot machine areas, on in the Entertainment Centre and one in the Sun City Hotel. Both areas have a smoking and non-smoking floor.
Sun City Slots are amongst the most progressive in the world, incorporating all the new technological advances and entertainment features. A smartcard cashless gaming system is run for the convenience and pleasure of the patrons.

How to get here
Sun City has its own dedicated bus service from most major cities. You can also travel by train. Day visitors can travel by car as there is plenty of secure parking available.

The Pilanesberg National Park and the Pilansberg Game Reserve are a must for animal lovers while watersport enthusiasts should visit nearby Hartebeespoort Dam.

Within Sun City you can walk, or catch the mono-rail train, or one of the many shuttles that operate within the grounds.
