Rare solitude and exceptional wildlife at Singita

Singita Private Game Reserve, Mpumalanga

The multi-award winning Singita Private Game Reserve, located in the greater Kruger area, is globally recognised for the quality game-viewing on offer, with regular viewings of the 'big 5', sightings of elusive leopard and a wide variety of exclusive activities on offer.

Singita Private Game Reserve attracts international awards like wild honey attracts bees.

From being voted the world's No. 1 Destination by Conde Nast Traveler, to Best International Small Hotel and International Resort, to Tatler's Best hotels of the year... the list of praise is endless - and for good reasons.

Situated within the Sabi Sands reserve and bordering the world famous Kruger Park, Singita Game Reserve simply offers everything - and more - that a wildlife lover wants or needs. The holistic approach means that rangers and trackers won't only concentrate on ‘ticking off' the most sought after animals, but they will teach you about the ecology as a whole.

As one of the most exclusive wilderness destinations in South Africa, Singita Game Reserve boasts the Boulders and Ebony Lodges, both overlooking the Sand River. Each lodge has 9 luxury suites with their own swimming pool and private deck with a view over the river. Singita also runs two lodges in the Kruger National Park itself, a number of lodges in Tanzania and one in Zimbabwe.

Game is abundant in the Singita Game Reserve. Jackalberry, marula and many types of acacia trees are found in the woodlandds and open expanses of grassland provide perfect grazing ground for zebra, blue wildebeest and many types of antelope. The region is particularly famous for its lion and leopard sightings. Game drives in an open safari vehicle are an ideal way to close to Africa's magnificent nature.

With world-class cuisine and a wine cellar full of truly exceptional South African vintages, the Singita experience continues around the meal tables.

Singita was named Best Hotel in the world in the 2008 Travel and Leisure Magazine's World Best Awards, the third time that worldwide travellers awarded this honour to Singita.
