The Sanctuary Spa at Majeka House is located on a lush garden estate in the heart of the Cape winelands, just a 5-minute drive from the town of Stellenbosch.
It is a wonderful addition to the luxury guest house accommodation of Majeka House. Every detail has been carefully planned to appease the senses and give you the space to unwind.
The spa has a focused treatment menu that includes a variety of spa packages, pampering treatments and therapies.
The 'Absolute Aroma Stone Therapy Ritual' uses an aroma stone massage to ease muscular tension. This is followed by a 'Skin Sphere Oxygenating Facial'. The 'Total Renewal' package is also popular with guests – a combination of a manicure, pedicure, aromatherapy massage and a 'Priori Skin Renewal Facial'.
The Sanctuary Spa at Majeka House also offers a 'Himalayan Crystal' treatment for those who need a major lift. These crystal salts are said to contain over 80 nutrients, which are absorbed by the skin – giving your blood circulation a boost and assisting with detoxification of your body.
For an extra dose of pampering, ask your therapist to combine the treatment with a body exfoliation or a foot and leg massage.
While you’re at the spa, make full use of the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna to ease those weary muscles; or take a luxuriating dip in the impressive heated indoor swimming pool, or in 1 of the 2 outdoor pools in landscaped gardens.
Of course, walking along the various trails in the region is also an option.
To round off your pampering experience, indulge in a light lunch at Makaron, the Majeka House restaurant, which uses the best of local produce. If you’re up to it, you could always enjoy a glass of wine sourced from a nearby vineyard.

How to get here
Head along the N2 from Cape Town, and take the R44 towards Stellenbosch. Majeka House is situated in Houtkapper Street.
Around the area
Stellenbosch is South Africa’s prime wine-growing region and there are a large number of estates you can visit. The Stellenbosch Botanical Garden, Rupert Museum of Art and numerous historical houses are also worth visiting. You can also enjoy a Stellenbosch on Foot walking tour.

Self-drive is preferable – having your own car will allow you to explore the winelands.
