Rustenburg Visitor Information Centre

Visitor Information Centre in Rustenburg Rustenburg's Visitor Information Centre

The Rustenburg Information Centre is the place that will provide you with all the information you need to have when visiting this host city. Superb service, top-class technology and a well of information are all there for your benefit in one convenient place.

Did you know?

The host city of Rustenburg lies close to the edge of the Bushveld Igneous Complex - one of the most minerally-rich areas in Southern Africa.

The Rustenburg Visitor Information Centre was launched in September 2009 by the South African Deputy Minister of Tourism, Tokozile Xasa. The centre was constructed from scratch and like the other Visitor Information Centres (VICs) in host cities around the country - is designed as a one-stop shop for the traveller's needs pre, post and during the 2010 FIFA World CupTM.

The Visitor Information Centre in Rustenburg is situated centrally on the corner of Kloof and Nelson Mandela Drive and offers information on a wide-range of tourist-related aspects - such as reservations, general information enquiries, car hire information, entertainment in and around the area, sport and adventure activities, shopping and travel tips. The whole aim of the centre is easy access to tourism-related facilities.

Where possible, cutting-edge technology is available and the new specially-designed information and reservation system will no doubt be a huge asset to this host city.

There are a number of major attractions in the Rustenburg area. There are 2 excellent Big 5 game reserves, namely the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and the Madikwe Game Reserve. There are also the bright lights of Sun City that offer non-stop entertainment 24/7. For nature-lovers there is the Magaliesberg Mountain range, with fun walks and hikes and for sports aficionados the water sports at Hartbeespoort Dam are a big attraction. The Elephant Sanctuary and the Maropeng Visitor's Centre at the Cradle of Humankind are 2 additional noteworthy attractions.

If you're looking for entertainment and dining options, chat to the friendly client service staff members on duty, and if you want maps on either the Magaliesberg Meander or Crocodile Ramble these will be made available to you as well as other complimentary information, such as maps of the area and booklets on travel tips and attractions.

So whatever your needs - whether it's a roof over your head, a snazzy restaurant or guidance on how to plan an itinerary, visit the Rustenburg Visitor Information Centre.
