Librisa Spa, Mount Nelson
Did you know?
The name Librisa comes from two words: Libra for balance (the scales) and Brisa (the breeze).
Cape Town's Librisa Spa is the ultimate day spa for the discerning spa-goer. It's part of the legendary Mount Nelson Hotel, an establishment synonymous with the flamboyant history of the city.
This Cape Town Day Spa is housed in three (original) late Victorian buildings, and the décor hints at a touch of vintage mixed in with loads of contemporary charm. There are eight large treatment rooms, including four tandem-treatment rooms (great for couples). There is also a sunny conservatory where clients can relax in-between treatments.
The treatment menu at this Cape Town Spa is extensive and there is something for everyone including gentleman's packages and special offers for teens. The spa makes use of the Sodashi (Australian) and Africology (South African) product ranges and there is a dizzying array of pampering treatments on offer.
The African Goddess facial is one to look out for. The therapist will use traditional oils including jasmine, marula and South African geranium and you'll be glowing and glorious in no time.
There is the Librisa Luxurious Gourmet Facial Selection which includes various treats including the Sodashi Marine Rich Mineral Facial and the Sodashi Pure Radiance Facial.
You'll find a number of special body treatments on the Mount Nelson Spa menu including the Librisa Bath Butler series where you can choose from a range of energising bath soaks.
There are also wonderful body wraps and masks as well as massage treatments that will render you stress-free in no time.
After it's all said and done, enjoy a light meal at the new Planet Restaurant or spend time relaxing in the historic surrounds of the famous 'Nellie'.
