Did you know?
Hydrotherapy was originally called 'hydrapathy' and dates back to the 1800s.
Say goodbye to the rat-race and its frenetic big city living, and instead say hello to peace, calm and tranquillity.
The Hoogland Health Hydro, situated in the rugged Schurveberg mountains, offers a unique combination of diet, health and beauty treatments designed to restore balance and rejuvenate not only the physical body, but one's psyche as well.
The hydro is set on a 400-hectare private game reserve just 50km from Johannesburg and 25km from Pretoria, making it an ideal rejuvenating break.
Being immersed in the natural and peaceful surrounds of this holistic establishment simply adds to the healing processes of the spa's hydro therapies.
Let nature's healing begin as fresh spring waters help to relax and rejuvenate your body and restore your energy levels. Therapy facilities include unlimited access to steam and sitz baths, saunas, Turkish baths, water jet massages, jacuzzis, heated swimming pools, and a gym.
At the Hoogland spa, individualised programmes vary according to your needs, from intensive medical therapy and weight-loss programmes to self-indulging relaxation. There is diet advice, specially prepared meals (healthy and delicious), exercise classes and aqua aerobics, as well as lectures or relaxation classes most evenings.
It's all about empowering the individual to take better care of physical, mental and emotional states and to assist guests in achieving a sense of balance. The guided walks and hikes in the game reserve make sure you are getting your full share of fresh air.
Hoogland Health Hydro aims to bring you closer to your dream of good health by taking you away from the stresses of your life, and helping you realise your full potential as a human being with a ‘vibrant energetic physique'. The relaxed surrounds help to soothe your soul while you work toward revitalising your body - with the company and support of those seeking the same goals.
