In almost 15 years of operation, the Hillfox flea market has earned itself a reputation as one of the best destinations for a weekend of bargain shopping in the greater Johannesburg area. Located on the grounds of what was formerly the Hillfox Drive-In cinema, this vibrant flea market in Roodepoort attracts about 250 traders selling well-known brands and other unique articles at very affordable prices.
The market has a relaxed vibe and on sunny Johannesburg weekends, you can find locals and visitors browsing around for clothing, furniture, crafts or special foodstuffs. The Roodepoort flea market also offers plenty of safe parking spots and access to ATM machines - handy to have around with so many tempting goods on offer.
Great entertainment goes hand in hand with great bargains at the Hillfox flea market, which runs on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays. For children, there are often performances ranging from popular acts like Kallie the Clown and The Tanzanian Mini Circus to exciting Easter egg hunts and balloon artists.

How to get here
Travelling on the N1 South (Western Bypass), take the Forteenth Avenue offramp in Roodepoort and turn left. Turn right at the first opportunity into Hendrik Potgieter Drive. The Hillfox flea market will be on your right.
