The Fairway Spa, just a couple of kilometres away from one of Randburg’s major shopping malls (Cresta), is a world away from city chaos. You’ll find this oasis on the restful fairways of the Randpark Golf Park. It forms part of the Fairway Hotel and Golf Resort, a slick 5-star property that has been personally recommended by Graham Cooke, president and founder of The World Travel Awards.
As a golf resort spa the Fairway reflects the colours of its surrounds - green fairways and blue water features - in its calming decor. Relaxation is aided by indoor and outdoor lounging areas, and a café-style bistro. With all the facilities expected of a modern day spa and 11 treatment rooms, it is able to accommodate corporate groups or pamper parties, bridal showers and the like. It’s also a great option for partners of avid golfers who don’t share the love of the green.
There’s an accent on hydrotherapy treatments at this Gauteng spa, with saunas, a Rasul chamber, a Kneipp pool (a cold water pool beneficial to blood circulation), flotation tank, steam rooms , a jacuzzi seating eight and a swimming pool.
Other facilities include laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation, an 8-seater pedicure station, slimming treatments, massages, facials, body wraps and bronzing, professional make-up, and hair styling at a salon called Hair @ The Fairway.
Worth special mention is the Romantic Couples Overnight Spa Journey. This package begins with a welcome drink, some time spent in the sauna, followed by the refreshing experience of the Rasul chamber where the use of indigenous clay is combined with steam and a soft, rain-like shower. Thereafter couples relax in the jacuzzi and flotation pool, before enjoying a full body massage and a hair and scalp treatment. How to get here
Fairway Spa is on the Randpark Golf Course, 2km from Cresta Shopping Centre in Setperk Street in the Randburg suburb of Randpark. Visitors can use the N1 Western Bypass to reach the facility, taking the Beyers Naude or M5 offramp. Randburg’s Rabie St and Republic Road also afford access.

Nearby Cresta Shopping Centre is a 3-level complex with tons of shopping, eating and entertainment options including cinemas. Attractions such as the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, the Cradle of Humankind and the Crocodile Ramble are within easy reach.
