The Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa offers a little slice of the East in the tranquil suburb of Morningside, just the other side of the hustle and bustle of the Sandton Central Business District. Enjoy facials, pedicures and manicures, Vichy showers, and why not try out the Four Hands Massage?

Did you know?

The Spa at Fairlawns has won numerous awards and has been included on the list of the Best 100 Spas in South Africa.

The Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa is all about quiet, understated elegance with a touch of international flair. Owners, John and Anna Thacker have taken their influences from their many travels abroad and the spectacular in-house spa is no exception.

This Morningside boutique spa, (a friendly neighbour to the Sandton CBD), is a tranquil space that removes one instantly from the urban madness. The Balinese theme works a treat in this secluded spa in its hiding place at the bottom of the Fairlawns garden. Vanilla, neroli and a hit of lavender greet you at the front door. The spa is welcoming with its browns and deep caramels and whimsical spiritual deities imported from Bali.

The garden is a combination of waterfalls and lush greenery and there are special outdoor treatment ‘huts' with day-beds situated under established trees. There are special half-day and full-day packages on offer as well as a menu for those who want to enjoy a healthy lunch in the calm surrounds of the spa.

Treatments at this boutique spa in Morningside include the Harmony Four Hands Signature Treatment, a tandem massage where two therapists reduce the body to butter! The Elemis Aroma Stone therapy is another favourite treatment as is the Elemis Deep Tissue Full Body massage.

Additional treatments include: Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Vichy Showers. In line with the Asian theme, guests can enjoy a Floral Aromatherapy Bath, Papaya Body Polish, Thai Herbal Wrap, Volcanic Clay Body Scrub (for cellulite), Honey and Sesame Oriental Body Glow, Bali Kopi Scrub and Back massage and a Deep Heat Balinese Boreh (an age-old treatment traditionally used to cure fever, headaches and tired muscles).

The spa offers an oasis in frenetic Joburg and both day visitors and hotel guests are welcome at the Fairlawns Spa.
