Italian Inspiration in Johannesburg

Camelot Spa at Villa D’ Este

Camelot Spa Villa D’ Este brings a Romanesque touch to the suburbs of Jozi. Away from the hustle and bustle of Rosebank and Sandton, this luxurious spa is the perfect place to unwind and rediscover your sense of La Dolce Vita once again.

Did you know?

There are 10 spas in the Camelot Spa group including bush spas, beach spas, destination spas and day spas. There is also a Camelot Spa in Swaziland.

Camelot Spa Villa D'Este is situated in the tree-lined suburb of Saxonwold, not too far from where all the action is taking place in nearby Rosebank and Sandton (not that you would know it - the place whispers tranquillity and calm). This brand spa is set in an historical Italian building and there's no doubt that it's Romanesque fountains, columns and frescoes will add a touch of romance and fantasy to this part of the world.

The property was built in the early 1920's and every effort has been made to incorporate the Italian theme into a modern, contemporary spa space. The décor with its mosaics and motifs transport one to another universe - to a time where the ultimate pampering was to be expected, nothing more, nothing less.

There are a number of facilities available at this Johannesburg day spa, including a flotation pool, a Rasul chamber, hydrobaths and outdoor Sensation Showers as well as a Roman Vitality pool.  The treatments on offer have been carefully put together by the Camelot group.  There are the basics such as facials, pedicures and manicures AND you can choose from a range of fantastic packages including the Executive Unwind, the Blissful Relaxation Spa Package, the Calming and Grounding Spa Package and the Heaven Scent package. There are also a number of half day and full day spa packages tailor-made to meet specific health & wellness needs.

There is a unique 'treatment conservatory' set amongst the lush gardens at this spa in Johannesburg. The rooftop relaxation area looks over the green belt that is Saxonwold, a great space for reading, contemplating your midriff and catching up with yourself. There's also a nearby resturant for coffee and cakes after all expending all your energy doing absolutely nothing at the spa.
