Did you know?

You can organise pony-trekking tours in the Maluti Mountains, close to the town of Clarens.

The Body Bliss Day Spa is situated at Kiara Lodge, a quaint resort in the Maluti Mountains, near the arty village of Clarens.

City life has an uncanny ability to deplete your vitality and leave you feeling quite drained and lack-lustre. By contrast, Kiara Lodge is known as the ‘gateway to tranquillity', and is surrounded by the Malutis, which form the famous Golden Gate Highlands National Park. The many artists and writers who live in Clarens describe it as ‘a road to the present from antiquity, a gateway to heaven and tranquillity'. And the Body Bliss Day Spa can take your escape one step further.

The Body Bliss Day Spa is managed by internationally trained therapist Janine Fourie. Luxurious treatments include mineral body wraps, aromatherapy and Swedish massage, Indian head massage, Back, neck & shoulder massage, and steam room sessions. This Clarens country spa really does offer the opportunity to exhale and unwind in a pampering and tranquil atmosphere. Luxury treatment packages are a highlight and a range of treatment products are also available on sale to the public.

And when you're done, enjoy home-made dishes at The Trout & Mallard Restaurant and Pub at Kiara.

Apart from the spa, facilities at Kiara Lodge include an art gallery, tennis court, volleyball court, outdoor chess, swimming pool, pool table, table tennis, bass fishing and curio shop. You can also go on hikes in the mountains or take an outride in the area. There is also lots on offer for the kids such as putt-putt and a jungle gym.
