NightsBridge to feature TripAdvisor content in new partnership
The ability of NightsBridge to now display TripAdvisor reviews on our guest house booking forms, for example, becomes an important element in the conversion process
NightsBridge is used by nearly 3 000 independent property owners who could benefit from having TripAdvisor guest reviews and other content featured on the its reservation system.
The importance of guest reviews was highlighted at the recent 5th annual E-Tourism Africa Summit and borne out by a survey commissioned by TripAdvisor. In the survey, 81% of travellers said reviews impacted their decision on which hotel to stay at, while 49% said they would not book a property unless it had customer reviews.
Maud Larpent, TripAdvisor’s senior partnerships manager, explained why the NightsBridge/TripAdvisor partnership will benefit NightsBridge clients.
'Guests who make their booking via NightsBridge will receive a post-stay email encouraging them to write a review about their experience, which may then be displayed on the relevant property’s TripAdvisor listing,' she said.
The NightsBridge/TripAdvisor partnership will also enable accommodation establishments to collect more reviews, while allowing potential customers to make informed choices based on comments and insights.
Neil Emerick, co-owner of NightsBridge, believes the tourism industry will benefit from the partnership. 'The ability of NightsBridge to now display TripAdvisor reviews on our guest house booking forms, for example, becomes an important element in the conversion process,' he said.
NightsBridge also recently launched ActivityBridge – which offers real-time booking for activities, events and fixed departure tours, enabling customers who book accommodation on NightsBridge to also book activities on ActivityBridge.
