The Mangaung/Bloemfontein Visitor Information Centre, situated in the historical Presidency precinct, offers state-of-the art facilities for those visiting the Free State. Facilitated by the Department of Tourism and Environment, this centre offers 2 administration offices, a welcome area, an interactive area and a retail area for local arts and crafts.
The Visitor Information Centre in Bloemfontein is the place to go for all the information you might need regarding vehicle hire, entertainment, tours, accommodation, reservations, dining spots and general travel tips. The Visitor information Centre (VIC) was launched as a government-sponsored initiative, along with 5 other 2010 FIFA World Cup™ host city centres, namely Rustenburg, Nelspruit, Polokwane and Port Elizabeth. Each of the VICs uses the cutting-edge Visitor Information Centres Enterprise Network System (VICENSYS) developed specifically to cater to the visitors' market.

There are the historic buildings and natural attractions in and around the city as well as live music venues, attractive malls and entertainment areas.
