Focus on innovation at 2013 SAACI congress
We are putting together a programme that is relevant, informative and which also challenges us to find the best path forward. Take-home value is what it’s about. – Andrew Stewart, SAACI 2013 Annual Congress & Exhibition chairperson.
Themed 'Create. Debate. Innovate', the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) 2013 Annual Congress & Exhibition will give delegates an opportunity to tackle the challenges facing the industry in 2013.
Congress chairperson Andrew Stewart said the congress committee was hard at work to make the congress a benchmark event.
'In addition to our top-class venue and facilities, we are putting together a programme that is relevant, informative and which also challenges us to find the best path forward. Take-home value is what it’s about,' he said.
Rhodes Business School associate professor Matthew Lester will deliver the keynote address. Other confirmed speakers are Alec Gilbert, Adelaide Convention Centre CEO, and industry veteran Dirk Elzinga.
The 2013 congress committee is encouraging SAACI members to participate in the conference programme. Members who have any industry-related knowledge they wish to present to fellow members as part of the academic programme have been asked to submit an abstract of their presentation to the committee for consideration by 29 March 2013. Members will receive notification of acceptance or rejection by 15 April 2013.
The congress is open to anyone interested in the conference industry. This includes venue owners and managers; professional conference organisers; corporate marketing and event professionals; event planners; public relations practitioners; exhibition organisers; and suppliers of products and services.
SAACI members can register online on the SAACI 2013 website. Early-bird registration closes on 28 May 2013.For more information contact:
