The Interval International Shared Ownership Investment Conference will be held in Cape Town on 26 June 2012. A second one will take place in Johannesburg on 28 June 2012.

This is the second time that Interval International – an operating business of the NASDAQ-listed Interval Leisure Group - is hosting these conferences in South Africa. The first series of conferences was held in 2010.

The aim of the conferences is to educate prospective entrants, lenders and government officials about resort development opportunities around the globe.
Delegates at the June 2012 conferences will hear industry leaders share their experiences and can participate in networking opportunities.

Darren Ettridge (Interval International’s senior vice-president of resort sales and business development for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia) said that past events had drawn thousands of attendees interested in shared ownership.

‘Our investment conferences are now regarded among the most prestigious in the business and we look forward to providing attendees at the forthcoming events with a fresh look at shared ownership opportunities in this thriving destination,’ he said.

The conferences are being co-sponsored by ENS, Africa’s largest law firm, and will be held at its offices.

Shelley Mackay-Davidson, director of the corporate commercial department at ENS, said she found the last series of workshops a valuable and informative experience.

‘I am really looking forward to being involved again in these events and to discussing the various challenges and innovations in this exciting industry,’ she said.

The conferences are designed for senior executives in the hospitality, real estate, finance, leisure and government sectors. Space at both events is limited and registration information is available by contacting Interval International.
